Opal (Smith) Trapp

Opal Trapp, 74, of Seymour, entered eternal rest peacefully on November 12, 2019, at the Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana.

Opal entered this life on December 6, 1944, in Heltonville, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charley and Goldie Martin Reed Smith.

 Opal was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Seymour and loved to sing. She worked at several factories and as a waitress at several restaurants before she retired. Opal loved to walk all over her town of Seymour in her spare time. 

Opal was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family, Corey Trapp, Carl Jones, and Bonnie Jones, her brother, David Smith, a sister Helen Otte, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Joe Jones and Calvin Jones, and a brother Daniel Smith, her sisters Lillian Waggoner, Immaogean Reynolds, and Kolene Mattingly.

Funeral Service will be conducted at Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery

Friends may visit at Zabel Funeral Home after 9:00 am on Friday until the time of the service.

Memorials may be written in Opal’s name to Calvary Baptist Church of Seymour.
