Richard Dale Allman Jr.

Richard Dale Allman, Jr., age 56, of Scipio passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born on November 25, 1962 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Richard Sr. and Jannes (Neilsen) Allman.  On April 28, 1984 at Wilson’s Chapel In Elizabethtown, Indiana he married the love of his life Richena Austerman Allman. She survives at the home.

Richard was a loving father and grandfather. He worked as a maintenance technician at Cummings Engines of Columbus. He was a member of Wilson’s Chapel,and the Moose Lodge of Columbus. He loved hunting, fishing, and mudding in his 4 wheel drive. He loved shooting his muzzel loaded rifle while he was an active member Fish Creek Long Rifles.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years; three daughters, Nicole Allman, Jessica (Jessie) Evans, and Melissa Allman; two brothers: Nathan Allman and Matthew Allman, five sisters: Robin Bruner, Kassandra Cleary, Alicia Hill, Amanda Allman, and Molly Smith.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Zack Bruner

Funeral Service will be at Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown at 1:00 pm on Wednesday February 27, 2019 with Jim Weld officiating.

Burial will follow at Smallwood Cemetery

Friends may call at Zabel Funeral Home on Wednesday after 11:00 am until time of the service
