Sandra Hattabaugh Obituary

Sandra Kay Hattabaugh, of Medora, passed away peacefully at Schneck Medical Center on May 2, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was 67.

Sandy entered this life on March 16, 1952 in Salem, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late Forrest and Maysel (Temple) Ray.  She was a lifelong resident of Medora and graduated from Medora High School Class of 1970.  On July 3, 1970, she married Billy Hattabaugh Sr. and from this union, they were blessed with three children, Brent, Billy, and Christy. She was a loving mother and grandma to her family. She was a homemaker and loved planting flowers in the spring. Sandy worked at Medora Plastic Factory and Valeo. She was a member of Medora Christian Church.

Sandy will be missed by her loving family; Billy Sr., children; Brent Hattabaugh and his wife Rebecca, Billy Hattabaugh Jr., and Christy Pfeiffer; four grandchildren:  Summer Maurer and her husband Taylor, Dakota Pfeiffer, Brookelyn and Brayton Hattabaugh, two great-grandchildren: Cruz and Castle Maurer; three brothers, Gene Ray, Randy Ray and his wife Karen, and Harold Ray and his wife Sharon; three sisters: Annette Bowers and her husband Dean, Sue Hackney and her husband Dick, Arlene Hinderlider and her husband Max, and Dana Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Roger, Wayne, Steven, Melvin, and Denny Ray; and one sister, Mary Cowles.

Funeral Service will be conducted by Hague Funeral Home of Medora at Medora Christian Church on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at 11:00 am with Pastor Stan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery of Medora.

Friends may call at Hague Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 4:00-8:00 pm and on Monday after 10:00 am at Medora Christian Church.

Memorial may be given in Sandy’s name to Medora Christian Church or to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
