Donald Eugene Lane, of Medora, passed away on the late evening of September 2, 2024, at his home. He was 71.

Don entered this life on February 3, 1953, in Seymour, Indiana. He was second son of Herbert and Dixie (Dixon) Lane, and the brother to Herbert, Donna, Beverly, and David.  Don spent most of his life in Medora, and was a graduate of Medora Community Schools, Class of 1971.

Don worked at Excell Manufacturing and retired in 2018. Don could be found out tending to his goats and sheep or walking his property.  He attended the Medora Wesleyan Church and then the Medora Christian Church.

He leaves memories with his family, sister, Donna Figg, brothers Herbert Lane and his wife Wanda, and David Lane, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly Ross, a niece Angela Lanae Lane and nephew Matthew Scott Ross

Funeral service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home on Saturday September 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Brother Larry Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Hague Funeral Home on Saturday September 7, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm.
