Alice Marie Roberts, of Vallonia, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2024. She was 67 years Old

Alice was born in Seymour on January 16, 1957. She was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 1975. She first worked as a candy striper at Schneck followed by many years as a fork-lift driver at Valeo. Her favorite pastimes included, spending time outside and tending to her flowers and taking care of her animals. She could never say no to taking in a new animal, whether it be a puppy, rabbit, chicken, or her beloved pony and donkey. Alice loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. Her kids and grandkids were her whole world.  She lit up when one of those kids walked into a room.

Alice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James Roberts, son, Chris (Misty) Derringer, daughter, Jamie (Ronald) Kochert, stepdaughter Meagan Wessel; and five grandchildren, Emma Derringer, Miles Kochert, Nora Kochert, Otto Kochert, Gavin Wessel.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Beth Ann Shade, parents, Emogene Beavers Shade and Glen Dale Shade, and granddaughter, Ashlyn Marie Kochert.

Alice will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love for her family will leave an everlasting mark on those whose lives she touched.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and private services are planned at this time.
