Anthony Wayne Temple

Anthony Wayne Temple, of Brownstown, passed away on the early morning of May 31, 2023, at his daughter’s house with his family by his side.  He was 60 years old.

Tony entered this life on January 8, 1963, in Salem, Indiana. He was the second to last born to loving parents, Harold and Betty (Standiford) Temple.  Tony spent most of his life in Jackson County and was a graduate of Brownstown Central high School. On August 23, 1985, Tony was united in marriage to Donna (Dean) Temple in Louisville, KY.  This union of over 39 years was blessed with three children, Dane, Shane, and Dawn.

Tony was a devoted husband, loving father and Papaw. He was a roofer and worked for Abraham Construction for over 35 years, before starting his own roofing company, T Temple Roofing of Brownstown. A business he and his wife Donna ran until his health wouldn’t allow them to. Donna and Tony were inseparable. From mushroom hunting, checking out the “good deals” at the local yard sales, or rock hunting in the creek together.  Where one was, so was the other.

He leaves a legacy of love with his wife Donna Temple of Brownstown, children Dane Williams of Indianapolis, Shane Williams and his wife Chelsey of Freetown, and Dawn Amos and her husband Jake of Brownstown, his parents Harold and Betty Temple of Salem, brothers, Brian Temple and his wife Tammy of Brownstown, and Billy Temple and his wife Leanna of Brownstown, and a sister Cynthia Temple of Florida, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by a brother Roger Temple and a sister Carolyn Sue Temple.

All services will be private.
