Arthur Scott Cochrane, of Scottsburg, passed away on the morning of October 4, 2024, at his home. He was 53 years old.
Scott, a lifetime outdoorsman, entered this life on January 15, 1971, in Seymour, Indiana. He was the second child of Thomas P. Cochrane and Sharon (Wheeler) Gibbons. He grew up in Washington County and attended Salem High School. He spent most of his life in southern Indiana never traveling far from his family. He was a season farm hand until his early retirement.
He leaves memories to be cherished by his mother Sharon Gibbons, two brothers, Thomas Cochrane and Michael R. Cochrane, a sister, Bobbie Jo Cochrane, a fiancé Jennifer Noble, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his father, a stepfather Pete Gibbons, grandparents Hendricks and Mabel Wheeler, and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Scott’s life was held at Haleysburg Church of the Nazarene of Vallonia.
Hague Funeral Home of Medora has been entrusted with final arrangements.
