Ashley Nicole Freeman

Ashley Nicole Freeman, of Freetown, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 15, 2020 at her home. She was 37.

Ashley entered this life on August 25, 1983 in Seymour, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Duane Lee and Rhonda D. (Verble) Freeman and the younger sister to Chris.

Ashley grew up in Medora and graduated from Medora High in 2001 and went on to Ivy Tech to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree.

She always had a smile and loved life and loved caring for animals. Ashley loved to take pictures of fun times with her family and friends. Her caring nature led to her become a Nurse. She worked for Help at Home for over 12 years.

Ashley leaves a legacy of love with her parents Duane and Rhonda Freeman of Medora, her brother Chris Freeman of Medora, her significant other Chris Scott of Freetown, and her dog Finley, her aunt Jackie Hall and her husband Tony of Medora, and several cousins, Sean Weddel, Shane Weddel, Shaena Weddel, Jeremy Verble, Tiffany Spencer, Stephanie Gommel, Jalen Snodgrass, and Austin “Oz” Snodgrass.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Glenn and Wanda Freeman, maternal grandmother Faye Verble, an Uncle Gregory Verble, and an aunt Keyla Weddel.

A celebration of Ashley’s life will be on Saturday November 21, 2020 at Medora Christian Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Rob Johnson and Jeff McPike officiating. Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.

Friends may visit at Medora Christian Church on Friday November 20, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00pm and after 10:00 am until time of the service on Saturday.

Memorials contributions may be made to the Ashley Freeman Remembrance Fund through Hague Funeral Home.
