Brenda Ault Obituary

Brenda Ault, of Medora, entered her eternal rest on the evening of May 31, 2022, at Daytona Beach, Florida with her loving family by her side. She was 69 years old.

Brenda entered this life in Seymour, Indiana on September 21, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Harry Crouch and Velda (Purkey) Fleenor.  Brenda was the sister to Harry, Jr., Wendell, Ragene, Connie, Caroline and Mona.  She grew up in Brownstown and graduated from Brownstown Central High School, Class of 1970.

On June 6, 1970, she was united in marriage to James (Jim) Ault at the Medora Christian Church. From this union of 51 years, they were blessed with two daughters, Michelle and Natalie.

Brenda was a devoted wife, loving mother and Grammy. Brenda had a social loving soul, she loved to cook big meals for her family and friends. If she wasn’t cooking for them, she was going out on dinner dates with them. She loved her retail therapy. She could shop until she dropped. On the pretty days, Brenda and Jim would go on mini road trips in their convertible. Brenda loved to travel the world and enjoyed her trips to Florida to see Pinocchio at Walt Disney World.

She served as treasurer of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Leesville. Brenda also served on the Farm Bureau Board for many years along side of her husband Jim.

Brenda started working for the Brownstown School Corporation, and then as an engraver for Perry’s Jewelers of Brownstown. She later went to work in the Jackson County Treasurer’s Office and then Brownstown Equipment for over 19 years. Brenda later left and went to work as the Front Desk Receptionist for the Cobblestone Hotel and Suites of Salem. A job she really enjoyed, until her retirement.

Brenda’s loving memories will forever live on with her husband Jim Ault of Medora, her children Michelle Stout and her husband Todd of Medora, and Natalie Ault-Wheeler and her husband Jeremy of Seymour, two grandchildren, Tyler Stout and Montana Stout, brothers Harry Crouch, Jr. of Florida, Wendell Crouch and his wife Debbie of Columbus, sisters, Ragene Heath and her husband Dennis of Florida, Connie Fields and Gary of Pikes Peak, and Caroline Knoy of Seymour and a brother-in-law Jeff Wray of Brownstown.
