Brenda Silvers Obituary

Brenda Kay Silvers, of Brownstown, passed away on Sunday August 23, 2020 in Bedford, Indiana. She was 74.

Brenda entered this life on October 31, 1945 in Washington, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Kelsey) Crane.  She grew up in Lawrence County and graduated from Oolitic High School in 1963. On November 12, 1962 she was united in marriage to Jack E. Silvers.  From this union they were blessed with four children, J. Dwayne, Angela M. John E., and J. Paige.  Jack preceded Brenda on December 14, 2011.

Brenda was a loving mother and Mama. She was a member of the East Oolitic Community Church. Brenda started school at Ivy Tech to become a nurse, and instead took a job at the hospital as a supervisor, and then becoming and Insurance Agent serving Martin and Jackson Counties.  She was a highly skilled and very knowledgeable lady that loved her family.

Surviving to share memories, her children, Dewayne Silvers and his wife Shelly, Angela Silvers and her companion Robert Pherrer of Medora, John Silvers of Bedford, and Paige Silvers of Brownstown, two brothers John Crane and his wife Jo of Mitchell, and Billy Crane of Bedford, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be announced at a later date through the funeral home website.

Brenda's final arrangements have been entrusted to Zabel Funeral Home of Brownstown.
