David Lee Smith, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away on September 12, 2024, at the Delta South Nursing Care of Sikeston, Missouri. He was 61.

David entered this life October 5, 1962, He was the son of James “Jim” Dale and Patricia Kay Smith. He was the brother to Kenny, Joyce, and Rob.

David attended Medora School until he entered the work force with at the Medora Plastics Factory, and the later transferred to the factory in Portageville, Missouri. He later went to work for Western Auto Manufacturing.

David is survived by his parents, Jim and Pat Smith of Doniphan, Missouri, siblings, Kenny Smith of Salem, Indiana, Joyce Smith of Doniphan, and Rob Smith of Portageville, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at Proctor Cemetery- Dixon Chapel of Lawrence County on September 16, 2024 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Tim Gill officiating.

A Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 pm on Monday September 16, 2024 at Hague Funeral Home of Medora.
