Mrs. Donna Weddell, 84, of Medora, Indiana was called to her heavenly home on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, October 28, 2018 at Schneck Memorial Hospital in Seymour surrounded by her cherished family.
Donna was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora. She was a devoted mother and home maker for many years. She retired from Mitchell & Stark Construction, Medora in 1999. She was an avid reader, enjoyed her flowers, crafting and spending time with her family.
Donna was born on April 26, 1934 in Denver Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Blanche Brown Stephan and Raymond Dilley. On May 3, 1952, in West Minister, Colorado, she married Donald G. Weddell, he preceded her in death on November 5, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Johnson; and a brother, James Smith.
Survivors include her three daughters, Melinda (Morris) Hypes of Campbellsburg, Vicki (Mark) Norman of Heltonville, and Susan Brown (Tony Hamilton) of Brownstown. Her grandchildren, Amanda (Charles) Newby, Dusty Johnson, Nikki (Scott Smith), Katie (Matt) Dittmer, Brad (Sarah) Brown, and Ashley Cowles. She had thirteen great grandchildren: Alexis (Nate) Waites, Emma Johnson, Abby Wayman, Gracie Smith, Noah Dittmer, Cash Dittmer, Jayden Brown, Samantha Brown, Wesson Smith, and Kaydon Smith. She was also blessed with two great great grandchildren: Addie Waites and Oliver Waites.
Funeral service for Donna will be conducted at 11 am, Thursday, November 1 st at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora, with Pastor Jack Belk and Pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, October 31 st at Hague Funeral Home, Medora and from 10 am Thursday at the church until time of service.
Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Gideons International or Chris Johnson Memorial Fund through Jackson County Community Foundation.
