Jackie Brown Obituary

Jackie Lee Brown, of Bedford, passed away peacefully at his home on April 5, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was 68.

Jack entered this life on May 27, 1951, in Bedford, Indiana. He was the loving son of Harley R. and Marcella (McPherson), Brown.  He was a graduate of Tunnelton High School Class of 1969, and after graduation, he joined the US Air Force becoming a Missile Maintenance Engineer. On July 22, 1972, at Medora Christian Church he was united in marriage to Terris (Sipes) Brown. This union of over 47 years was blessed with a daughter, Stacy Leigh.

Jack was a devoted husband and father.  He was a member of Medora Christian Church. Jack would also visit other churches to hear the different tellings of scripture.

Jack spent his weekends racing his car at the local area dirt track enduro races or out riding motorcycles.  In the wintertime, he would cut and gather wood for local widows.

Surviving to share Jack’s memories are his wife, Teri, a brother Steve Brown and his wife Sandy of Bedford; a sister Lynn Baughman and her husband Larry of Medora; sisters-in-law, Sharon Nolan and her husband Bob of Medora, and Debra Wayman and her husband Dennis of Medora.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, parents, and a brother Harley Brown, several aunts and uncles, and a great-niece, Danielle Reed.
