John  Andrew Kidd, age 37, of Martinsville passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2018 with his daughter by his side.

John was born on September 9, 1980 in Seymour Indiana to Darryl Kidd and Carol (Sherfick) Babbs of Medora.  

On August 8, 2009 at the Medora United Methodist Church he married Kimberly ( Fish) Kidd. She survives.

 

John graduated from Medora  High School in 1998, and joined the United States Marine Corps having served 3 tours in Iraq. He was a loving son, husband and father.  John was a railroad worker as  a senior general foreman of the carshop for CSX, and then left to be an inspector for the Federal Railroad Administration.

He was an avid deer hunter, loved boating and spending time with his daughter Kennedy and his wife. He was a member of the NRA, VFW, the American Legion, and Deer Camp.

John is survived by his wife Kimberly, his daughter Kennedy, parents: Darryl (Kathy) Kidd, and Carol (Norman) Babbs, brothers: Joey Kidd, J.D. Kidd, and Matt Babbs, and a sister Laura Babbs; a grandmother Ruby Powell, nephews: Levi Kidd, Gunner Andrew Kidd, Colby Cox, and Dakota James Kidd.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ottis Kidd, John Bob and Faye Sherfick, and an uncle Larry Kidd.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Hague Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday July 27, 2018 at the Medora United Methodist Church on 42 East Adams St. in Medora

Friends may call at Medora United Methodist Church on Thursday July 26, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 and after 10:00 am on Friday until time of the service

Burial will be at Russell Chapel Cemetery in Tampico, Indiana where full military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW and American Legion of Seymour
