Judith Kay Scott Obituary

Judith Kay Scott, 77, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, March 24, 2025, at the Lutheran Community Home.


Judy entered this life in Seymour, Indiana on July 8, 1947.  She was the oldest child born to the loving parents Edgar Ray Reynolds and Florence R. (Hubbard) Reynolds Huffman.


Judy was a loving mother and grandma.  She was an avid mystery book reader and always loved a good story.  If she wasn’t reading, she could be found watching her westerns on the T.V.


She was a graduate of Medora High School, Class of 1965.  She worked for Pretium Packaging for over 30 years.


Judy leaves a legacy of love to her children:  Tresa A. (Matthew) Bevers of Freetown, Joseph C. Scott of Seymour, and Linda K. Scott of Seymour; grandchildren:  Michael(Natosha) Scott, Brandon (Wynonna) Scott, Brittney (Kris) Record, Logan Scott, Savannah (Zachary) Lynch, Luke Scott; great-grandchildren:  Miracle Scott, Emili Helton, Andrew Scott, Roman Scott, Ryder Napier, Deklan Scott, Emily Record, and Ayden Scott; sisters:  Kathy Eisele of Brownstown, Rayetta Franklin (Walt) of Seymour, Pamela Bartlett of Seymour, and Patricia (John) Ryan of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Marvin (Carolyn) Huffman of Medora; a sister-in-law, Nancy Marcott of Cornith, Texas.


She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Marvin H. Huffman; a brother, Terry Marcott; and a great-grandson, River Scott. 


Funeral services for Judy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Hague Funeral Home, Medora with Justin Ray officiating.  Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.  The burial will take place at Proctor Cemetery/Dixon Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Donor’s Choice.
