Karen Sue (Fleenor) Lawson passed from this life on October 3, 2024, at Compass Park in Franklin, Indiana. She was 86 years old.

 Karen entered this life on April 21,1938 in Medora, Indiana. She was the last child born to Everett and Nina Rose (Gilbert) Fleenor.  She grew up in Medora and was a graduate was united in marriage to Johnny Lawson. This union of over 37 years were blessed with three children, Dennis, Marita and Lisa. Karen and Johnny raised their family in Hope until after Johnn’s passing. He preceded on September 18, 1987

Karen worked as a bookkeeper for a couple of car dealerships in Columbus and Seymour.  She was very active in her church family at Hartsville Church of Christ where she enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano and organ for services. She was a lifetime member of the Hope chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.

 She is survived by her daughters Marita Roberts and her husband Randy and Lisa Pridemore her husband Kenneth.  A sister, Rosalie Wilson, grandchildren Ryan Roberts and his wife Sharon, Caesar Roberts and his wife Jessica, Crystal Cao and her husband Aaron, Keith Lawson and his wife Asheley, Phillip Lawson and his wife Megan, and Rhiannon Castetter her husband Bill. Several great -grandchildren Adron John Lawson, Paisley, Kaden, Delilah, Valarie, Giovanni, Giancarlo & Viviana Roberts, Ace Cao, Trea, Razlin, Lotus, & Xephyr Lawson, Avery, Sam, & Addy Castetter, and great-granddaughter Roberts arriving in November 2024, and cousin Wayne Gilbert and his wife Judy.

Karen She was preceded in death by her parents, son Dennis, brothers Tom & Jim, sister Imogene and great grandson Ethan Butler.

A graveside service will be conducted at White River Valley Cemetery on October 5, 2024, at 10:30 am with her son-in-law Pastor Randy Roberts officiating.
