Leslie W. Charles, age 81, of Clearspring, passed away peacefully at Westview Nursing and Rehab of Bedford.
Les entered this life on September 15, 1938, in Hazard, Kentucky. He was the loving son of Thomas and Maggie (Hamilton) Charles.
On January 1, 1998, Les was united in marriage to Patricia Elmore Charles, she survives.
Les was a loving husband and father. He loved going to Flea Markets for bargains and spending time fishing. He worked as a professional asbestos removal expert, worked at the Brownstown Co-op, and drove a truck. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Dunker, IN, and a member of Clearspring Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Pat; his loving children: Tom Charles and his wife Pam, Patty Charles, Kerry Charles, A. Blake Charles, and Renee Pryor and her husband Jesse, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Clyde and Morton, and sisters: Cynthia, Vergie, and Lucille.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Clearspring Baptist Church with David Sawyers officiating. Burial will be at Clearspring Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of the service at Clearspring Baptist Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hague Funeral Home of Medora.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Les’s name at Hague Funeral Home.
