Mary Louise Bowers, age 73, of Medora passed away peacefully on Saturday February 9, 2019, at HoosierChristian Village of Brownstown.
Mary was born in Jackson County on May 5, 1945 the daughter of the late Paul and Mildred (Olmstead) Ingrum. On September 15, 1962 she married Claude Wayne Bowers. Wayne preceded her in death October 26, 2014.
She was an avid book reader, a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker too all of her kids. She was also known for helping raise other kids among Medora. Mary was a member of the Medora PentecostalChurch.
Mary is survived by her three children: Claude (Sharon) Bowers, Alfred “Port” (Mary) Bowers, and Shawn (Chris) Maupin; a brother Alfred (Virginia) Boling; a sister Jennie (Bob) Wayman; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Archie Boling, Jr.; and a sister Brenda Collett.
Family and friends may visit at Medora Pentecostal Church on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of the service.
Funeral Service will be conducted by Hague Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Tuesday February 12, 2019 at MedoraPentecostal Church at 94 North Elm Street of Medora with Pastor Timothy Gill officiating. Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery of Medora.
Memorials may be given to MedoraPentecostal Church.
