Regina Reynolds Obituary

Regina Delores (Roker) Reynolds of Dayton Ohio passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020 at Bethany Lutheran Village of Dayton. She was 92.

Regina entered life on May 6, 1928, Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. She was the loving daughter of John A Roker

In August of 1954 at Medora, Indiana, she married the love of her life Edwin Earl “Dick” Reynolds. This union was blessed with two surviving sons, Garth, his wife Jan, and Kip and his wife Sandy.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her oldest grandchild Garth J Reynolds, who resides in California with his wife Zoe and children Elodie and Loic, survives her. Ashley Reynolds Reali, granddaughter, resides in Florida with husband Kevin and daughter’s Clara and Emma also survive her.

Regina worked for WDTN TV in Dayton for over 30 years and is considered an early television broadcasting pioneer. She was well known and worked with local and national celebrities, Omar Williams and Phil Donahue. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Ohio Valley Chapter awarded her a Distinguished Service Award (Emmy). Regina produced some local area programs and was a TV model for women’s clothing.

Within the large Reynolds family, Regina was a warm, caring and giving person. There were no strangers to Regina as she was always available to help and assist others in need. In her last years of declining health, her son Kip was with her, assisting with her every need.

We will all miss her presence, humor and thoughtfulness. She is now beside the love of her life Edwin Earl “Dick” Reynolds.

A private family graveside funeral service will be held at Proctor Cemetery/ Dixon Chapel.

Regina’s memorial event will be scheduled in the fall of 2020 for Family and Friends to commemorate this wonderful lady.
