Rhonda Rae Riley, of Medora, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of June 11, 2024, at her home. She was 64 years old.

Rhonda entered this life on July 6, 1959, in Middletown, Ohio. She was the first born to Glen Ray and Betty Ann (Ewen) Hill. She grew up in Franklin, Ohio, and was graduate of Franklin High School class of 1977 with honors. She went on to take a few college classes before taking a job at Franklin City School System. A job she loved up till the day she retired, “Once a wildcat, always a wildcat.”

On November 27, 1985, at her future-in-laws house Rhonda was united in marriage to Tony Douglas, Sr. From this marriage of almost 39 years, they were blessed with three children, Brittany Derra, Bethany Hope, and Tony Douglas, Jr.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother and the best Mammaw/ Mammie her grandkids could ask for.

She was a Christian, who loved her daily devotions, and would often read from the great Book. She was very involved with social sports in her younger years. Her and Tony played in co-ed sports from softball to bowling. She loved to watch football games and catching up with the gossip of the Royal Family of England.  Once her grandchildren came around, they became her new joys in life.

Her legacy of love will live on with her family, husband Tony Riley of Medora, Brittany Kurtz and her husband Arthur of Ohio, Bethany Helton and her husband Tyson of Medora, and Doug Riley of Medora, 8 grandchildren, Kayla Kurtz, Kaden Kurtz, Kassie Helton, Kolton Helton, Kimberly Kurtz, Kaizer Kurtz, Kelsie Kurtz, and Keeona Kurtz, and a sister Jackie Cole and her husband Keith of Ohio.

She was preceded by a brother Brian Hill and her parents.

 Visitation will be at Hague Funeral Home on Thursday June 20, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Services in Franklin, Ohio are as follows:

A Celebration of Rhonda’s life will be conducted at The Freedom Worship Center 90 Deardoff Road, Franklin, OH 45005 on Saturday June 22, 2024, starting at 2:00 and concluding at 5:00 pm.

A remembrance fund has been established in Rhonda’s name through the funeral home.
