Robert "Bob" Meadors Jr. Obituary

Robert L. “Bob” Meadors, Jr. of Brownstown passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2020. He was 71.

Bob entered this life on September 28, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana. He was the only son born to the loving parents of Robert L. and Edith L. (Disbro) Meadors. On June 19, 1999 at the Medora Christian Church he married Peggy (Jones) Ault Meadors.

Bob was loving husband, father, and Papaw. He was a member of Medora Christian Church, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Time Turners. Bob retired from Cummins Engine after 32 years as a maintenance man. He was an avid outdoorsman. Bob loved deer hunting, watching IU Basketball, NASCAR, and going to car shows for the street rods. He spent most of his life in Jackson County. He was a graduate of Seymour High School.

Surviving to cherish his memories, his wife of 20 years: Peggy, a daughter: Becky Self and her husband Aaron of Seymour, sons: Billy Meadors of Indianapolis, Mickey Ault and his wife Rachel of Medora, and Dale Ault and his wife Tracy of Seymour; grandchildren: Shelby and Jackson Self, Cyle Meadors and his wife Victoria, Drake Meadors, Cate Niewedde and her husband Mike, Veronica, Logan, Kelsey, and Keaton Ault, and Haylee and Braxton Gullion, his sister Peggy Cahoe and her husband David of Bardstown, KY, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 with Pastor Stan Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Weddleville Cemetery.  The family has entrusted Hague Funeral Home of Medora with the final arrangements.
