Russell "Rusty" Brock Obituary
Russell Joe Brock, of Medora, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of May 15, 2024. He was 65 years old.
Rusty entered this life on April 16, 1959, in Seymour, Indiana. He was the youngest born to Arvil and Wilma June (Beavers) Brock. He was a graduate of Medora Community Schools, he entered the work force in construction. He became a heavy equipment operator and travel the surrounding states working the pipelines.
Rusty had a gentle soul and a servant’s heart and would lend a helping hand to whoever in need. He was a loyal friend, if he liked you, he liked you, if not stay out of his way kinda guy. Rusty took pride in being a backyard chef at Rusty’s Nuts Garage. He would love to serve whoever would show up to eat. He often provided a place for the travelling pipe liners a place to park their RV’s until the job was done.
When the weather was just right, he would often be found at his favorite spot, Iron Weed Lodge. He was a true outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
His memories will be cherished by his brothers, Ron Brock and his wife Sharon of Medora, Terry Brock of Columbus, and Don Brock of Bloomington, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Jim Lane and his parents.
Funeral Service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home on Monday May 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.
Friends may visit on Sunday May 19, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Monday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
