Terry Mark Brock Obituary

Terry Mark Brock, 69 of Freetown, passed away at Schneck Medical Center on the early morning of May 28, 2026, with his family by his side.

Terry entered his life on the day after our Lord’s birthday on December 26, 1956. He was the first born to Clyde and Mabel Elizabeth (Stuckwisch) Brock, and the big brother to Linda, Vickie, and John. He was the father to Amanda, Kelli, and Brandee. He attended St. John’s Sauers Lutheran School and was a graduate of Brownstown Central High School. He was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownstown.

Terry was a devoted father, Papaw, and a dedicated worker. He was a simple man not one to sit still long. He became a farmer, managing cattle, planting fields of crops, and truly lived the “John Deere bib overall life”.  He was a mechanic for Valeo Sylvania for over 40 years, retiring in 2020.  Terry also worked in the infield for Brownstown Speedway every Saturday night for over 20 years. When his daughters were old enough, they were helping at the races as well. He helped instill hard work and dedication throughout his family, often having them work alongside him.  His daughters were his pride and joy. When his girls were playing sports, he would volunteer to help coach the teams, often pushing them to be their best. After the grandchildren came along, he was back in sports cheering on the next generation to follow in learning the family trait.

Terry loved to sing karaoke as well. He wasn’t one to sing from a stage, but he could sing from a booth just as well at the former 12 Point Lodge in Brownstown. He often enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and simply spending time outdoors. He always saw a presence in God’s work wherever he went.

Terry’s cherished memories will live on in his family: Amanda Parker (Todd Anderson) of Freetown, Kelli Goben (Rich) of Freetown, and Brandee Brock (Parker Cokerham) of Crothersville, grandchildren, Kolton Parker, Kasen Parker, Owen Anderson, Cadence Brock, Jesse Brock (Bentley), Bailey Ruddick (Dustin),and Oakley Young, sisters, Linda Allman (Mike) of Brownstown, and Vickie Persinger (Matt) of Brownstown, and brother John Brock (Melissa) of Brownstown, several nieces, nephews, one great-niece, and 7 great-nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and niece Faith Brock.

Visitation will be conducted at The Freetown Church of Christ on June 9, 2026, starting at 3:00 pm.
